WSA NYC Branch: Sam Garnes Football Camp with Amani Toomer, Ron Dixon, Aaron Beasly, Jonathan Carter
New York, New York- The WSA NYC Branch has a great new addition and great new event. Longtime NY Giants/NY Jets pro Sam Garnes has now joined the World Sports Alumni as well as been voted onto the WSA National Board of Directors. And his first branch event will be the Sam Garnes Football Camp. This will mark the second WSA NYC event, with the World Straight Pool Championship billiards event last July being the first.
"I am excited and honored to be asked to join the WSA. I'm especially looking forward to building up the WSA NYC branch with not just all my NFL contacts, but my friends in MLB, NHL, NBA and more. I firmly believe in the WSA's mission to serve professional athletes and I know WSA NYC will be a powerhouse" , said Garnes.
Garnes had a stellar career in the NFL that spanned a decade from player to coach. He recorded 528 tackles, 10 interceptions, 3 sacks in his tenure for the NY Giants & NY Jets. He was also on the coaching staff for the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, and Chicago Bears.
Garnes brings his versatile experience as an NFL Pro & Coach for stellar teams to the WSA & kids around the United States

With his experience in sports on both sides of the business, we know he's going to be a powerful asset to the WSA. New York City is the capital of the world, and we believe Sam will be an integral part of the growth of our WSA NYC branch", said Charlie Williams, CEO of the WSA.
"During his playing time with both the Giants and Jets, Sam was known as a true leader. A hard hitting safety on the field and as genuine and down to earth as one can get off the field", said Steve Bingham, WSA NYC Operations Manager.
The WSA and WSA NYC welcomes all professional athletes former and current of all sports to join the World Sports Alumni along with nearly 200 other pro athletes.
