Santana Moss Joins WSA Board of Directors
Washington D.C. - Legendary Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss has now signed on with the World Sports Alumni. Moss was a 1st round draft pick out of the University of Miami, picked 16th overall and went on to play 14 seasons in the NFL for both the NY Jets and then finished out his career with the Redskins. He is a Pro Bowler and also received for over 10,000 yards in his career.
"Santana is a true stand-up guy. He's everybody's big brother. He knows how to be successful in life on and off the field. He's one of those NFL players who knows how to succeed after a pro career, and you still see him on TV and radio. I look up to him and I've modeled my life after his on and off field in business and sports. He's just an all around good guy and will be a great leader for the WSA", said Brandon Meriweather, whom Santana will now join on the Board of Directors. Meriweather and Moss played together at the University of Miami and also on the Washington Redskins.
Moss officially signed on along with over 100 professional athletes worldwide.
"The WSA is not just a good thing to be a part of, but it's something that's been missing from sports. I'm looking forward to being a strong part of the association and the movement", said Moss.
Santana is now officially a part of the WSA Pro Football Division who will represent both in the DC/Northern Virginia region along with the Miami area of where he is from.
"Santana is a Super star on and off the field . More than that, Santana has an outstanding reputation as an athlete and a person. We are honored to have him and we look forward to working together", said Ron Dixon, President of the WSA Pro Football Division and former NY Giants star.
Moss transitioned seamlessly from pro athlete to businessman
Today he is an NFL analyst on the popular NBC Sports Washington show CSN Mid-Atlantic. He also heads his own non-profit the Moss Foundation and has recently launched a new weekly podcast The Santana Moss Show. Moss also has special events he promotes annually.
